I recently bought a huge, 56-gun safe that isn't nearly filled, but I figured I'd eventually get to the point that these would be useful. Overall, they get the job done, but I'm not terribly impressed, especially for the price. I'll be on the lookout for something better.Part of the challenge is that your experience with the system is going to depend on your setup. In my case, the shelf that I was using to adhere the rods too was relatively high up, so a relatively small length of the rod - maybe an inch or so - was actually in the barrel of my rifles. Combine that with what, to me, was pretty weak adhesion to the shelf, and any slight movement of the rifle results in the whole thing detaching from the shelf. I will say that these work well as long as the rifles aren't touched, even for heavy rifles - I've got a couple of large rifles that stay upright even with the issues above. That said, the lightweight, plastic rods combined with a pretty small area for the Velcro to adhere to whatever it is you're attaching the rod to means these can only be so strong. If you've got a relatively short distance to whatever you're attaching the rods to and/or lighter rifles, these will probably work pretty well.I'll keep using these for the time being, but I'm definitely on the lookout for something that's a bit sturdier with a stronger adhesion mechanism so that I don't have trouble with my rifles toppling over at the slightest touch. Considering the price, I'm a bit disappointed.This is a great idea. I can now fully maximize my gun safe’s capacity. The rods hold the guns safely in place. Highly recommendSimple solution and very easy setting up. Wish I found this product 10 years ago. Only change I would suggest, is a sturdier rod but still works very well for the intent. Will be ordering more in the near future. Thank you.Was skeptical at first but after installing I am impressed with the rods holding strength and how much space was freed up once completed. This is a great solution for more long gun storage and organization.I have a 6 gun stackon cabinet. I installed some shelving for ammo on one side of the cabinet. Everything was fine, until I made that 6th rifle purchase. I planned to get an 8 gun cabinet, but decided to try these gun rods. I replaced my metal shelf with a larger wood shelf, applied the velcro, and my 6 rifles now fit. A little tight because 5 of the 6 have scopes, but they fit.Great idea and it functions well. But...... the cheaper marketing plan of "one size - cheaper to make" plan......not so good. While the smaller diameter .22 caliber size works for lighter 22's, there should be a 30 cal and a 40 and a 12 gauge shotgun size. They are just too flimsy for larger barreled heavier rifles and shotguns.And what is with the 6 piece extension kit with NO carpet liner. Granted, it was stated and was MY oversight, but cmon......the comfusion just causes customers to get pissed when it arrives and has no liner. Cmon, Just put it in with the rods and charge a buck more. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth about nickel and diming. -You keep up this overpricing and don't improve the product with better sizing and you're gonna get knocked off quickly. These are not complicated products to make and sell.I cut the old rack system out, that reduced the amount of long guns I could place inside the safe. I installed the rifle rod and lope system in the safe and I placed twice the number of long guns with optics. After watching U-Tube videos for safe organization and modification ideas, I used this system and love it. I recommend this system. Its inexpensive and works.I like how the rods help me better organized my safe. The order came in quickly and worked really nice. The pad seems a bit less than top quality for the price. I thought that it was going to be better / thicker. The rods are nice and sturdy.my only request would be to have the rod longer and have the buyer cut them down to size. As if you have a short barrel and with the rod to the max you will get some bend on the rod but not a big amount.I couldn't fit as many guns in my safe as they advertised, but it definitely keeps your guns from laying against each other, and a much better way to present as well.livery was fast and works as advertised, did not need the velcro since it sticks to the felt under the shelf.Missing 2 postsNot the size I wanted.
