Would I have cued this up without a known star in the lead? No.Does Harry Potter meets Stephen King's futuristic entertainment level fight to the death work? Heck yeah, better than I expected.There's a lot going on it, and small subtleties that I'd need to watch it another 4 or so times to even catch all of it. It's off the wall nuts, with a video game level of gore that's so fast paced and ridiculous, it's hard to even see it as disturbing.Speaking of disturbing - Daniel Radcliffe's "WTF is happening to me" for the whole movie is beautifully well done, with everyone else playing along. Hastur from Good Omens (because the nagging "Where do I know him from" made me look) is an excellently unhinged villian, while the "average Americans" watching along from home? a bar? work? a gay bathhouse? were a great Greek chorus.
